Evergreen Memory of Bishop Neufville  / Ernest Kwia (former office employee & guardian-son )  Read >>
Evergreen Memory of Bishop Neufville  / Ernest Kwia (former office employee & guardian-son )

Death they say is inevitable and I do so believe but why does it always strike so close we can never understand.  I have known the late Bishop Edward W. Neufville for a long time dating back to my youth days in Yekepa.  Destiny later brought us together when I had the opportunity to work with him in the Diocesan Bishop Office between 2002 and 2005.

The good memories of our interaction - he as Bishop and a father to me and I an employee and son to him will always remain in my heart as I pause now in silence to remember a great man a father and guardian who crossed my path.

Rest in peace Bishop and take your glorious reward from our Lord.  We miss you.

We are grateful to have been you immediate neighbors in Gedetarbo Liberia. Our LORD looked in all of Maryland County but chose a wonderful son from Gedetarbo and ordained him Bishop of the Episcopal Church.  He served our LORD so faithfully; he finished his course.  We believe his soul now rests in perfect peace and that magnificent light is shining on him perpetually.

Our LORD will say 'Well done my good and faithful servant'.  We love you Bro Eddie; however Jesus loves you more.

That you did not have more opportunity to enjoy your retirement is sad but that you've gone ahead to continue your intercession for us before the Father is worthy of you.

As for your legacy: an enormous capacity for compasion and forgivenness. Help me to be that.

Mei you rest in peace and rise in glory. Amen.

To The Family of Bishop Neufville

It was many years ago that Bishop Neufville and I attended Bank of Monrovia officers training classes and how our meetings at various gathering thereafter recalled such fond memories over years. God bless that we saw the marriage of our children with equal Christan virtues and that he has called his faithful servant to rest. Mother you worked well with the Bishop.

Have my heartfelt sympathy.

When the Master Calls His Servant: To Bishop Neufville

                                     ---- By Patricia Jabbeh Wesley

When the Master calls His servant
who are we to ask him why?
When the servant's work is done
and the angels sing him home
who are we to question why?
When the hero's journey ends
and his family stand in awe
who are we to question why?
When the father packs his tools
and the children stand in awe
who are we to question why?
When your sweetheart stands by you
as you say your last goodbye
who are we to question why?
We are friends and loved ones dear
praising God you stopped by here.
God has called his dear beloved
We sing praises He sent you here.
Well done Dear Bishop well done
The Master has called his Servant home.

Your's was a life well lived  / ZOBON KOLENKY (FORMER STUDENT & SMALL TIME FRIEND TO ED. )

Bishop we will miss you. You were the one who welcomed me to school(St. Martin Episcopal 1979) and you were the same one who served as guest speaker during my graduation from Cuttington Graduate School(2007).

I knew then that you had passed the torch to another generation. I knew that you had ran your race successfully.

To Edward my friend I say never mind. But be glad that your daddy will have a grave. My daddy does not have! Be glad that you will be there to bury your daddy but i do not know if mine was ever buried...why ? because of this senseless war.

Mother my prayer goes up for Bishop and for the entire family. Your 'better half' did live a life worth following.

On behalf of my brothers and sisters i say may the soul of our great bishop and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in eternal peace and may ligth everlasting shine upon them.
